DUO TERES

• Duo Teres (Lucia Fulka Kopsová – violin and Tomáš Honěk – guitar) is a chamber ensemble of a unique instrumental combination. At the very beginning of its existence, it had mainly been dealing with the music originally written for violin and guitar. As the time passed the duoʹs interest moved to the music of the 20^th and 21^st century, and at the end of 2010 they released their first album, very positively rated by music critics. There, you can find songs by Jan Novák, Antonín Tučapský, Jan Truhlář or Niccolò Paganini.

• Since 2011, a project named „Pražský kaleidoskop“ (literal translation: Prague kaleidoscope) has been evolving, combining compositions of classical and jazz composers.  At their concerts, musicians from Duo Teres often perform music composed directly for them by renowned composers, for example by such personage as Jan Freidlin, Lukáš Hurník, Ondřej Kukal, Martin Brunner, Karel Růžička and Matej Benko. In the context of „Pražský kaleidoskop“ project, the duo cooperates with Český rozhlas (the Czech Radio, a public radio broadcaster), specialised magazines and other media, and so it promotes their high quality Czech music.  In 2014, the duo performed a song of the same name written by Jan Freidlin with Radom chambre orchestra in Poland.

• Since 2015 the duo has been a member of the Czech association of chamber guitar.

• Duo Teres, founded in 2007, has ever since confirmed its high interpretation quality by being awarded with several international chamber music competitionsʹ awards (1^st prize – Gorizia, 1^st prize – Vidnava, 3^rd prize – Aschaffenburg) and by studying at courses of many renowned musicians, such as Marco Socías, Paolo Pegoraro, Pavel Šporcl etc.
